Jazz helped shape the District, and the District helped shape jazz. Come celebrate that continued legacy and current vitality every Wednesday with us at metrobar as we come together for our weekly jam session!

Along with jazz on Wednesdays, we are also excited to launch our all day Rush Hour – our signature happy hour, which will last all night.

Abe Mamet, called D.C.’s “major jazz French horn player” by the Washington Post, leads the session every week alongside Steve Arnold, Keith Butler, and rotating featured guests. Our first jam session will feature the incredible Amy K. Bormet, the District’s premier pianist and authority for all things good music.

The jam session will open up after a set by the house band. Jazz musicians of all stripes are encouraged to bring your horn and join in fellowship with this wonderful community.
